The Flume Ridge Covered Bridge, Charlotte County New Brunswick, Canada.
The interior of this old covered bridge is totally within shadow.Just within the entrance of this covered bridge a pattern of light can be seen on the hardwood flooring of the bridge.
The souce of light creating the pattern on the bridge floor is from the spaces between the boards at the end of the bridge's construction.

No longer in service, this covered bridge at Nelson Hollow, just 4 km outside of Doaktown, is the oldest covered bridge in New Brunswick and the only one remaining in Northumberland County. Also known as the Mill Brook #5, this covered bridge traverses Bett's Mill Brook.

The Nelson Hollow Covered Bridge has a cottage style roof as does the covered bridge at Turtle Creek in Albert County. These two covered bridges are the only ones in New Brunswick with this style of roof. The composite photo above shows the Turtle Creek bridge on the left and the Nelson Hollow one on the right.
Built in 1907 the Florence -ville Covered Bridge crosses the Saint John River at Florence -ville, Carleton County. The bridge has four spans, one of which is covered. The village of Florenceville was named after the famous nurse: Florence Nightingale.
The Stormdale Covered Bridge crosses the Becaguimec River at Coldstream, Carleton County. This bridge was built in 1909. The photos show repairs being made to the bridge in the late fall of 2002 when these photos were taken. 
The Smithtown Covered Bridge located at Smithtown, Kings County crosses the Hammond River. This bridge was built in 1914.

The Starkey Covered Bridge crosses Long Creek, near Coles Island, Queens County. This covered bridge was built in 1912. Below; a Barn Swallow at its nest built in the rafters of the Starkey Covered Bridge.
Looking out upon Sawmill Creek from within the covered bridge located at Hopewell Hill, Albert County. This covered bridge was built in 1908 and is no longer in service.

The Flume Ridge Covered Bridge tranverses the Magagua -davic River at Flume Falls. Built in 1905, this covered bridge is near Brockway, in Charlotte County. Photo taken in summer, 2003.

Built in 1930; this covered bridge is located on Gayton Road and crosses the Memram -cook River at Memram -cook West in Westmorland County. 
This covered bridge was built in 1927 and crosses the Eel River at Benton, York County. Benton is near Meductic.
The longest covered bridge in the world!
