The Starkey Covered Bridge crosses Long Creek, near Coles Island, Queens County. This covered bridge was built in 1912. Below; a Barn Swallow at its nest built in the rafters of the Starkey Covered Bridge.
The reflection in the blue water is terrific. Great exposure to balance all elements. I have always wished I lived in a part of the country with covered bridges. Thanks for sharing. I'll spend more time later studying them. So much to do, so little time. Troy
Texas Travelers: This was a favourite picture taking. I had been at this location earlier in the year, attending an old country auction and tho this was quite a distance from my home I had decided to return later in the fall to take photos; which I did. Glad that you enjoyed.
