The Budd Bridge is located on the Victoria Road, spanning the Cocagne River, at New Scotland, Westmorland County. This covered bridge was built in 1913.

Can you tell me anything about New Scotland? I'm working on my family's genealogy, and an ancestor is listed as being born in "Scotland, St. Johns, New Brunswick." I'm not sure what that might mean, and I wonder if New Scotland could be what they meant. Is New Scotland a town, or was it a town in the past? Thanks!

We live in New Scotland, NB. It was a flourishing farming community in the early 1920's. A few farms are remaining, mostly residential property now with some'cottage' style homes.
